Society is at work developing a history of the township

the society, held the fourth Tuesday of every month at the firehouse, at 5843

The Washington Township Ruritan
Club sponsored the writing of a township history in 1976. According to
Earl Cunningham, who wrote part of that history, "Ruritan is a civic
organization whose objectives include a greater understanding between rural and
urban people on the problems of each, working with those agencies which serve
the community."
